Evgeny Kryukov was born in Moscow in 1936.
His father Vasily Kryukov died in the war in 1941.
His mother Nina Johanovna Arngold was an artist, originally from Volga Germans.

Evgeny Kryukov received his second higher education in the specialty "industrial design"
in 1972, after graduating from the Moscow State Technical University (formerly Stroganov).
He was a member of the Union of Designers of Russia, in Soviet times he was engaged in industrial
design at the enterprise.

He became interested in painting in the late 1970s. In 1990-2000 he painted in oil, then mostly graphics.

Participated in exhibitions in Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, USA, Russia, Turkey.

His works are in private collections in Germany, Italy, Canada, France, Norway, Finland, Israel, Russia, USA.
