Anna Valeryevna Messerer (Kozlova) was born on March 26, 1969 in Moscow in a family of engineers. She started drawing early. At the age of 4, she began attending an art studio at Moscow State University. There, just one year later, the first exhibition of the young artist took place. At the age of 6, she firmly decided that she would become an artist. Anna studied at the painting studio in the Palace of Pioneers on Vorobyovy Gory and at the Krasnopresnenskaya Children's Art School. Anna Messerer graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute with a degree in Urban Planning in 1992, where her master in painting was Vitaly Leonidovich Baryshnikov, an artist, graphic artist, painting theorist, professor of Moscow Architectural Institute.
Since the early 1990s, Anna Messerer has participated in painting exhibitions. In 1992, Anna joined the Creative Union of Artists, and in 1993 her first solo exhibition was held at the House of Artists on Kuznetsky Most. Later, the painter went to plein airs in Russia, Germany, France, Austria. Anna Messerer took weaving lessons and worked in the workshop of the Honored member of the Moscow Union of Artists Lyubov Yakovlevna Sergeeva-Shafranskaya. Anna Messerer is a member of the asset section "Architectural Design" of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, IFA (painting section), awarded the Silver Medal of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia for her contribution to the national fine arts. Since 2013, she has been engaged in book illustration and is the author of a series of works on the parables of Manana Menabde "And time passed ..." (2014). Anna Messerer is engaged in easel painting, makes tapestries. Anna Messerer's pedagogical activity began back in the 1990s, she taught painting at an art school.
Anna Kozlova met the artist Alexander Messerer at painting lessons in 1995. This acquaintance became fateful both for her creativity and for her personal life. The large family of Anna and Alexandra Messerer is a real dynasty of artists, where everyone draws, even the smallest ones. The Garden gallery has been opened in the couple's estate in Peredelkino, where exhibitions of the painters themselves and their friends are held. In addition to the gallery, the house has an art studio MessererStudio, where everyone can take painting and drawing lessons. Anna and Alexander have an old house in the village of Ferapontovo, Vologda region, where the children of artists – Anna, Maria, Lev, Nina, Boris, Sasha, Sofia - like to spend the summer. This is a unique place that has preserved its original flavor, which has not changed for several centuries.
