Anna Messerer
Paintings
Anna Valeryevna Messerer (Kozlova) was born on March 26, 1969 in Moscow in a family of engineers. She started drawing early, at the age of 4 at the art studio at Moscow State University. There, just one year later, the first exhibition of the young artist took place. Anna Messerer graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute with a degree in Urban Planning in 1992, where her master in painting was Vitaly Leonidovich Baryshnikov, famous artist, painting theorist, professor of Moscow Architectural Institute.

A striking feature of Anna Messerer's paintings is the dynamics. Pasty brushstrokes, inherent in many of the artist's paintings, give relief to the works, and enhance the effect of internal movement in the space of the painting. For the artist, the primary role is played by color, not line. Bright, gentle, as if shrouded in a light morning haze, Anna's works are filled with air and freshness. The painter loves the heroes of his works, whether it is a person or a bush of flowering hazel. And, like any creative person, Anna Messerer shares the love and tenderness of a trembling soul with the viewers of her paintings.

"You need to get into a state where you see the beauty in everything...

It can be portraits, and some still lives on the table, you see how unusual the objects are arranged, you see some kind of rhythm in this.
Or it is possible to capture part of the interior, we have interiors of the house at the exhibition.
You start from something, it's not abstractions, but, for example, the state of nature: sunset, dawn, evening, twilight... Something what is happening and that I want to capture. It can also be a flood, lakes or intricately arranged household items."
