Drawing lies at the core of Evgeny Kryukov’s work.
His abstract compositions are built through intersections, breaks, and layers of line, forming a dense and cohesive structure. Colour acts as an accent, intensifying rhythm and spatial depth. The paper itself becomes part of the image.
Figurative motifs emerge within this structure: boats, architectural fragments, and natural forms.
Evgeny Kryukov was born in 1936 and graduated from the Stroganov Art School. His works are held in museum and private collections in Russia, the United States, and Europe.
